The
Star Center Speedway Classic 2003|TENNESSEE
Urgent
Message regarding this event...
The STAR Center Speedway Classic will
not be held this Saturday, May 10, 2003 due to the devastation to the city of Jackson, TN from tornadoes that swept through late Sunday night and early Monday morning. Much of the downtown area, as well as other parts of the city, have suffered heavy damage including The STAR Center’s location on Lafayette St. The STAR Center office on Lynoak Cove remains without power or telephone service.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to all those who have lost loved ones or have suffered loss or damage of property during this time.
Now, more than ever, we are in need of the fundraising dollars that we were looking for from this fundraiser. Any donations from our NASCAR family and fans would be greatly appreciated.
The STAR Center – Speedway Classic

Jackson, TN 38305
The STAR Center of Jackson, TN is the largest non-profit assistive technology center in the country. Each year the specialized staff at The STAR Center serves thousands of children and adults with disabilities across 21 counties in West Tennessee. Utilizing computers, music therapy, art therapy and a variety of training programs, The STAR Center provides opportunities every day for people with disabilities to reach their personal goals of independent living, effective education, and competitive employment.
The 5th Annual STAR Center Speedway Classic would have served to help ensure that every child and adult who needs the life changing services offered by The STAR Center would be able to receive them. Through the generosity of so many, we have never turned an individual away. To be sure the need doesn’t exceed our capacity, there is much to do and we need your help. Each donation is very much needed and appreciated.
Since our power, telephones and internet services are out at The STAR Center, please contact me at home with questions, (731) 668-2377 or
